The problem

The phone rings while you're busy with a customer. Messages come in on WhatsApp, Instagram, email and the website, and in the evening, on Sundays or on holiday nobody answers. It's nearly always the same questions: opening hours, prices, free slots, which documents to bring. Wait too long and people go elsewhere.

Who it's for

Businesses that work by appointment

Barbers, hairdressers, beauty salons, gyms and practices: a WhatsApp message sent at 10:40 pm becomes an appointment in the calendar, and nobody has to stop working.

Offices that collect documents

Academies, training providers, agencies and professional firms: the photo of an ID card arrives in the chat and ends up in the right dossier.

Shops that sell products

Shops and workshops: at 9:30 pm a customer asks about a product on Instagram, orders it and pays with a link while the shop is closed.

What it does

Answers on every written channel

WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, website chat and email, at any hour. It works from what the business tells it: price list, opening hours, services, rules.

Takes appointments

With the Calendar module it checks the calendar, offers the free slots, and books, moves or cancels.

Collects documents

With the Dossiers module customers send photos and PDFs from WhatsApp, Telegram or Instagram. Chattoo reads the details of an ID card from the photo and asks for whatever is missing.

Sells in chat

With the E-commerce module it shows the products, records the order and sends a payment link. The money goes to the business's own Stripe account.

Answers the phone too

With the Phone add-on it talks, books and cancels during the call, and leaves a transcript at the end. Before the greeting, a recorded message says a virtual assistant is answering.

The business stays in control

You can follow everything from a web console. When it needs a person, it hands the conversation over to someone at the business.

How it works

You start by describing the business: products, prices, opening hours, how to book. There are no flows to draw, and there's nothing to install. Then you choose the assistant's name, how it replies and what it says when it doesn't know something. Channels are connected from the console. You can change the information whenever you need to, say for summer opening hours. The outcome of every request ends up in the console: an appointment in the calendar, a dossier with its documents, a paid order.

Frequently asked questions

Where does Chattoo come from?

We built it in 2024 as a digital concierge for a tour operator taking Italian travellers to Japan. It had to answer at any hour. Later we made it configurable for any kind of business.

Can I see it in action?

Yes. The chat on Chattoo's website is Chattoo itself: we use it ourselves, and you can ask it the questions a customer would.

Does it introduce itself as a person?

On the phone, before the greeting, a recorded message says the call is handled by a virtual assistant and is being transcribed. In chat, the business chooses its name and how it introduces itself.

What happens when it doesn't know the answer?

The business decides what it should say in those cases. If a person is needed, the conversation goes to someone at the business.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It's an online service: you set it up and follow it from a web console, and connect the channels from there.
