How we handle your data when you visit the site or write to us.

Data controller

Riolabs S.r.l., Via La Louvière 2, 06034 Foligno (PG). Email [email protected] · PEC [email protected].

What data we collect

From the contact form we receive your name, email, company if you add it, topic and message. The same goes when you email us.

Like any website, the server receives technical data about the visit: IP address, browser type, the page requested, date and time. We use them to run the site and protect it from abuse, such as bulk messages sent through the form.

Only if you accept it in the banner, Google Analytics collects data about the visit, such as pages viewed, time spent, device type and approximate area, through its cookies. Without your yes it doesn't load.

Why, and on what legal basis

To answer messages, the legal basis is your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or, when it isn't about a contract, our legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us (Art. 6(1)(f)). Without your name, email and message we can't reply.

To run the site and keep it secure, the basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). For Google Analytics statistics it's your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.

Who sees it

We process the data ourselves. The providers that host the site and our email also see it, only for the service they give us, and so does Google Ireland Limited if you accept statistics. Google may transfer data to the United States: it does so under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which it has joined.

How long we keep it

Form messages and emails: 12 months from our last reply. If a working relationship starts, the periods of that relationship apply, along with those required by law, for example for tax records.

Technical data about the visit: only as long as the site's security needs it. Statistics: according to the Google Analytics settings, 14 months at most.

Your rights

You can ask us to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, receive it in a machine-readable format or object to its use (Articles 15 to 22 GDPR). You can withdraw consent to statistics at any time from "Cookie preferences", at the bottom of every page. Write to [email protected] or to our PEC.

If you think we're handling your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

The site uses a technical cookie, riolabs_consenso, that remembers your statistics choice for 6 months, so it needs no consent. Only if you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies, _ga and _ga_ followed by a code, which last up to 2 years.

You can change your mind from "Cookie preferences", at the bottom of every page, or clear cookies in your browser settings.
